Gabardine is a tough, tightly woven fabric and is known for it's durability and style. Garbardine is woven as a warp-faced steep or regular twill, with a prominent diagonal rib on the face and smooth surface on the back. Gabardine has a tendency to hold its shape and not wrinkle too easily.
Jersey Fashion's high-quality worsted wool blend gabardine is Italian-made and ideal for creating fashions for women as well as men. It drapes extremely well and can be used to make dresses, skirts, uniforms, suits, trousers and elegant slacks. Available in different solid colours. Easy to mix and match.
Also very suitable for making uniforms for theater companies, carnival associations, orchestras and brass bands.
